Crews responded Wednesday after a car crashed into a pond in front of City Hall following a two-car crash, according to Port St. Lucie police. According to a release, a vehicle was southbound on Airoso Boulevard when it turned west onto Port St. Lucie Boulevard into the path of another car. The second vehicle lost control and went into the pond in front pf Port St. Lucie City Hall, said Master Sgt. Frank Sabol. Two good Samaritans, James Randolph and Charles Proulx witnessed the crash and went into the water to rescue the driver from his car, police said. Detectives arrived at the scene and were able to pull the driver, Randolph and Proulx safely back ashore using a ResQ Disc throwable water rescue device. Thanks to the quick actions of both good Samaritans and police detectives, there were no serious injuries in the incident.
